About the Role:

The Infrastructure and Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing SQR’s IT infrastructure and security systems. This role involves planning, implementing and maintaining robust infrastructure solutions whilst ensuring the highest level of security for SQR’s information assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Live Service Management 

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of live services, ensuring uninterrupted availability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritise and address service-related issues promptly.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance service reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

Infrastructure Management

• Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure.
• Ensure the scalability and reliability of infrastructure components to support business growth.
• Collaborate with IT teams to optimise infrastructure performance and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Information Security Management

• Design, implement, and manage comprehensive cyber security policies and procedures in line with ISO27001 Standard.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential risks.
• Respond to and investigate information security incidents, ensuring a swift and effective resolution.
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging threats to proactively enhance security measures.

Network Security

• Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems and other security infrastructure.
• Monitor network traffic for security incidents and respond to security breaches promptly.
• Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer to ensure the security of SQR’s networks.

Data Protection

• Establish and enforce data protection and privacy measures.
• Manage, review and ensure continual improvement of backup and recovery processes to ensure the integrity and availability of data.

Incident Response

• Take ownership of the incident response plan, and training, to address incidents promptly and effectively.
• Lead incident response team, including coordinating with relevant teams and external parties.

Vendor Management

• Evaluate, risk assess and manage relationships with third-party vendors providing security-related services or products.
• Ensure that vendors adhere to security standards and contractual obligations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or relevant experience. 
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, live service and security roles within a cloud first environment (AWS/Azure/GWS)
• Certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) are preferred.
• Strong understanding of networking, systems administration and security protocols.
• Experience working with ISO27001 Standard.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
