General

Once verified, each user is assigned a highly secure next-gen QR code and a unique 16 digit token that corresponds ONLY with their specific biometric data. The patented technology uses advanced cryptography, with one of the benefits being that we only need to share essential data - and always with consent. App users retain their privacy; organisations can be certain that their customers are real and who they say they are.

The SQR Group currently operates from offices headquartered in the Isle of Man, located in the British Isles. We are well placed to support businesses and individuals all over the world.

In new jurisdictions we work with international lawyers and regulators, prior to implementation, in order to ensure regional compliance. Find out more by contacting us.

Under a rigorous auditing procedure completed by the UK government’s new ‘digital identity and attributes trust framework’ (DIATF), SQR has successfully joined a digital identity ecosystem that is just as trusted as using passports or bank statements.

Yes - SQR’s unique combination of biometrics and AI with our Secure QR code system entirely eliminates the issue of multi-account fraud. Because a user always verifies using their face, they can only ever have one account. Businesses can rest assured that their customers are limited to just one account - no loopholes and no workarounds.

Yes! This is one of SQR’s core benefits - all SQR users need to bring is their Secure QR code (or a mobile phone number that’s linked to their account) and their face: SQR handles the rest of the offline ID process swiftly and securely.

It’s as simple as inputting the linked phone number or scanning the secure QR code, and then scanning their face - our proprietary technology then determines with 100% certainty whether it’s a match offline, with no need to link to any servers.

Our world-class facial recognition technology has been validated by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), who has declared it the most accurate software in situations that reflect real life scenarios, with the fastest matching capability most resistant to variants in angle and age. The software has also been tested on individuals of different ethnicities with varying skin tones, with no variance to accuracy levels identified.

Personal use of the SQR mobile app is completely free. Users will not be asked to pay at the point of download, nor are there any in-app purchases. SQR Group may charge organisations who use SQR’s business regulatory dashboard service. Any chargeable rates will be clearly communicated prior to service engagement - for further information on our commercial terms please contact us directly.

SQR is perfectly placed to support all industries requiring accurate and trusted identity and verification (IDv) of their customers - whether regulated or not.

The SQR team is in regular dialogue with a number of regulators in wide-ranging locations. Whilst they do not have the authority to endorse an ID&V solution, we always ensure that regulators are 100% comfortable with our service prior to entering any new jurisdictions.
