Ethical Facial Recognition & Biometrics

SQR’s ‘Secure QR code’ technology is exciting, engaging and most importantly ethical.

Facial Biometrics

All of our applications use Denso Wave’s proprietary Secure Quick Recognition Code (SQRC) technology. One of its core features allows us to encrypt an image of the user’s face into the Secure QR Code. And with this, the user’s face now holds the singular key to authorise the use of the code.
We minimise the amount of data we keep on file, though a certain amount of information is necessary to satisfy contractural, legal and regulatory obligations.
Once we have verified the identity of an individual and the image has been encrypted, users have the option to delete both the original image and the identity document supplied.
Reverse engineering from the Secure QR Code is impossible.
Our technology cannot be used to pick your face out of a crowd, and we do not connect to any law enforcement or government body using biometrics.

Data Retention

If a user no longer wishes to use our services, their app can be deleted from within and all their data is removed instantly.

SQR abide by the relevant jurisdictional laws including Data Protection and Anti Money Laundering (AML) legislation, for example in the UK this would be GDPR and Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017. Fraud Prevention

This technology provides an ultra secure solution to preventing unauthorised account use.

Users that tokenise their payment cards to their secure SQR code can also rest assured that they – and only they – can make payments via the platform.
